Hybrid Index Insurance (Weather & Area-Yield Insurance)
A multi-layer protection cover provided to farmers against production losses occurring at any stage of the crop life cycle be it at germination, flowering and maturity phases. We basically cover climate risks and crop shortfalls at harvest.
It is targeted at small-holder farmers, farmer associations, cooperatives, agro-processors, microfinance banks, commercial banks, agric-based private equity.
